Another stop on our 2010 holiday junket to Cincinnati, my nieces Amanda and Claire took us to Cincinnati’s old Union Terminal, which has been given new life as the Cincinnati Museum Center. Built in 1933, Union Terminal is a real monument – Rachel and I found the the mural mosaics by Winold Reiss amazing. I learned a lot from the slightly hokey but informative video here. Rachel and my nieces Amanda and Claire look at the mosaics by artist Charley Harper in the first floor of Cincinnati’s John Weld Peck Federal Building. Despite warnings to the contrary, security gave us no trouble for taking pictures. So cool!
