With the encouragement of my sister Julie, Rachel and I made a small quilt for our new friend Oskar. Julie helped us pick out and cut fabrics from the cool fabric studio Sewn, where she and her family live in Cincinnati, Ohio. With the pattern and fabrics, it took us most of a Saturday. Don’t look too closely at the needlework, but it was a fun project. Thank you to Nicole for the pictures.
Rachel and my nieces Amanda and Claire look at the mosaics by artist Charley Harper in the first floor of Cincinnati’s John Weld Peck Federal Building. Despite warnings to the contrary, security gave us no trouble for taking pictures. So cool!
